Exemplary Partnerships . . .
The Read Today program, from KSL and Deseret Media Companies, offers parties and prizes to encourage elementary school students to read at least 20 minutes a day. The program's goal is to improve reading proficiency scores and to involve parents in their children's education.
Reading is essential to every child's educational success. That's why the Ken Garff Automotive Group, the Governor and the First Lady joined together to create the "Ken Garff Road to Success." The program's goal is to have every child READ (or be read to) EVERY DAY for at least 20 minutes.
Ignite enthusiasm for STEM education by partnering with Utah's FIRST® LEGO® League (FLL), an exciting, fun global robotics and innovation program for kids ages 9 to 14.
Working with key stakeholders in six communities, United Way of Salt Lake has formed seven "Promise Partnerships" that are committed to assuring that every child has the opportunity to succeed and achieve their potential. There are many ways that you can get engaged and be part of the effort to transform lives and communities.
